Eco Initiatives – Green Hotel Policies at Casanova Suites on the Beach
At Casanova Suites on the Beach we believe that together we can make a difference. We know that we all have to share this planet, and we haven’t been taking good care of it.
At our green hotel we encourage, promote, and provide the means and use for eco-friendly and biodegradable products:
- Natural products that have been sourced naturally
- Responsible eco packaging that can be recycled
- Eco products that aid recycling and the reduction of carbon
- Green products that use sustainable ingredients and materials
- Organic products that promote natural ecosystems
- Bio products that promote fair trade and don't exploit workers
- Manufacturers that don't use underage workers
- Cruelty Free; i.e., no animal testing
- Products that do not possess animal ingredients
According to a recent study, vacationers are more apt to act eco-irresponsibly while in a hotel. Travelers will open a new bottle of shampoo every time they wash their hair. Guests often leave the lights and AC on when they go out. They ask for their sheets to be changed or cleaned on a daily basis, taxing the water and electricity supply.
We found out from our guests that giving the ability to change these little things can be very rewarding for them. When you are eco-conscious, you’ll become more aware of our responsibility to the earth and its inhabitants.
The Casanova Suites on the Beach is one of the few hotels in South Beach to participate in the Florida Green Lodging Program, a fact which we are proud of!
